World of Choices is an interactive event that equips students in grades 8-12 with the skills and knowledge they need to be better prepared for the future. Youth learn virtually from inspirational speakers and participate in groups discussions with passionate career mentors in a variety of skilled trades. Youth have an opportunity to participate in a trades focussed hands-on learning experience at one of the NSCC campuses in Nova Scotia.
World of Choices prepares youth for the future of work by providing students with learning opportunities to build transferable skills and explore career paths. JA Canada is partnering with Colleges and Institutes Canada to host Skilled Trades Summits across the country. By providing a hands-on experience, students will enhance their understanding and knowledge of skilled trades as a meaningful and fulfilling career path.
