Dedicated volunteers are at the core of JA’s impact on students across Nova Scotia. Make a difference by supporting students to grow their financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship skills!
In Class Volunteers: Facilitating programs to students in grade 5-12, engaging them to learn about financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Topics include learning to create a budget, developing long-term goals, understanding what it takes to run a successful business and learning about different types of investments and methods of payments.
Company Program Advisors: Mentoring students in the creation of their own business. This 18-week program requires weekly meetings where you will provide guidance, foster group engagement, keep it fun, and help youth develop self-confidence and self-belief.
Unique Opportunities: There are always opportunities to support JA in addition to delivering programs. Some of our unique volunteer opportunities include; special event guest speaker, Company Program executive training speaker or awards/trade-fair judge, supporting special JA projects.
Register to VolunteerThe staff at JA Nova Scotia appreciate all the volunteers who donate their time, talent and experience in support of our programs and activities. We would like to acknowledge those groups of volunteers for their support during the 2023-24 school year: RBC, Staples, Deloitte and ADP.
