JA Program

Program Description

In this virtual opportunity, receive a simulated portfolio of $100,000 and learn about the stock market and matching goals to aligned investment options. Then have an opportunity to manage trades within a national competition.

Program Overview

Students completing this Program will be prepared to:

  • Understand the pros and cons of different investments, such as RRSPs, exchange-traded funds and GICs
  • Make financial investment decisions
  • Build a portfolio for the online stock market simulation
  • Identify socially and ethically responsible investments
  • Identify investment scams
  • Test their knowledge by competing in a simulated Stock Market competition
